Strange issues are afoot within the X-Men universe. 20th Century Fox has introduced that X-Men: Dark Phoenix and New Mutants will each be shifting their launch dates, thanks largely to main reshoots on each movies.
The information was first reported by ComicBook.com, which says Dark Phoenix‘s reshoot delay is generally attributable to scheduling points. With a solid that features A-listers like Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender–not to say Sophie Turner, who’s at the moment filming the ultimate season of Game of Thrones–it ought to come as no shock that gathering the group can be tough. As such, the film is sliding into the February 2019 launch window that New Mutants was beforehand going to launch in.
New Mutants, alternatively, has much more to reshoot than Dark Phoenix. Collider experiences that at the least half of the movie could possibly be filmed once more to make it scarier–which may see at the least one new character added to the combination. Fox is reportedly hoping for the film to have a novel tone that helps it stand out–much like Deadpool and Logan did–but it merely did not have the scares the studio was anticipating.
That mentioned, Collider claims director Josh Boone was proud of the model of the movie he turned over to Fox and is within the center is having some inventive variations with the studio, resulting in the movie being pushed from February to August of 2019.
Of course, the one movie not talked about in all of that is Gambit, the long-suffering offshoot of the X-Men universe that Channing Tatum is meant to star in. After dropping a protracted record of administrators over the previous couple of years, it appears as if manufacturing of the movie is not any nearer to beginning. At least followers nonetheless have Deadpool 2 to maintain them satiated when it arrived on May 18.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix will arrive in theaters on February 14, 2019. New Mutants will comply with on August 2, 2019.
