Naughty Dog has introduced that author, artistic director, and longtime Naughty Dog worker Neil Druckmann is now the vice president of the studio he has labored with for near 14 years.
“In recognition of his expanded function, contributing on important, studio stage selections, Neil Druckmann is now vice president of Naughty Dog,” reads a put up from the studio. “He’s been a significant half of the administration group for a while now, and we’re proud to formally acknowledge his involvement. In addition to his new place, Neil will proceed as the artistic director on The Last of Us Part II.”
Druckmann has been with Naughty Dog since 2004, first working as a programmer for Jak three and Jak X: Combat Racing and later becoming a member of the design group for Uncharted: Drakes Fortune. Druckmann was central to the creation of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us, serving as the recreation’s co-director alongside Bruce Straley and as its artistic director. While Straley has since left the firm, Druckmann reprises his function as artistic director for the recreation’s upcoming sequel.
Alongside the announcement of Druckmann’s new function, Naughty Dog additionally introduced that Anthony Newman and Kurt Margenau are the joint recreation administrators for The Last of Us Part II whereas Emilia Schatz and Richard Cambier will function lead designers for the undertaking.
